(Oklahoma City, Jan. 21, 2010) The public is invited to participate in the third of four statewide meetings to address the issue of Eastern Red Cedar encroachment at a town hall sponsored by the Aromatic Cedar Association.
The meeting is open to the public and will feature experts in the field of conservation, a video prsentation as well as individuals knowledgeable about utilization of cedar as a cash crop. There will also be information availalble for those seeking financial assistance for the development of an Eastern Red Cedar business.
State Rep. Richard Morrissette recently introduced legislation, HB2686, to assist with cedar abatement by way of the Eastern Red Cedar Initiative and he will be on hand to discuss the bill.
The meeting will be held at the High Plains Technology Center, 3921 34th St., Woodward, OK 73801, (580) 256-6618, on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 from 6:30-8:30 PM.
