These grants, made possible by the 2008 Farm Bill, provide funds on a competitive basis to enable Oklahoma to participate in the President's urban and community forestry assistance program.  The goals of the program are to improve the understanding of the benefits of urban trees, increase the amount of canopy cover, and provide educational and technical guidance to plan, maintain, and improve our urban and community forests.
