Statewide Discussion:

Fire danger will be kept at bay in large part today with the system that is moving southeast through the state today.  Presently rainfall in a long band from Harper County to LeFlore County is providing a good wetting rain with area coverage 0.3” to 0.7” and some localized amounts in excess of 1.5”.  Elsewhere in the state warm temperatures and light winds will prevail with elevated dew points resulting in moderated relative humidity values this afternoon.

No significant fire control problems are anticipated today.

Remember…  ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires!  Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line:  1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
