Statewide Discussion:

Areas of Oklahoma dried out enough with warm temperatures and clear skies at the end of last week to support limited wildfire activity; however no significant activity was reported.  Similar fire conditions are expected this week in that some areas may support limited fire danger during the afternoon hours.  No significant fire activity anticipated through the period
Mixed precipitation chances will be present in the eastern third of Oklahoma today.  Precipitation is more likely Wednesday evening into Thursday for eastern counties and a chance present for western counties.  Somewhat warmer and drier conditions are presently forecast into the weekend and grass dominated fuels may support fire spread.
We plan to update the Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report on Monday, January 25.  Updates to this report will be issued should fire weather and/or fire occurrence warrant.
