Statewide Discussion:
Fire weather will moderate somewhat today with cooler temperatures and lighter winds; however dry conditions over the past few days have resulted in receptive grass fuels. No significant fire threat is anticipated today and conditions should yield good opportunity for initial attack success.

Temperatures will be in the mid-40°’s with 49°-53° in the southern tier of counties accompanied by relative humidity values around 35% in southwest Oklahoma to 50% in eastern counties. Winds will be northeast to north 5-12 mph with limited gusts in the afternoon. Moderate fire behavior is possible in some areas.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
