Statewide Discussion:

No significant fire activity anticipated today. Showers moving across northern and central tier counties of the state are delivering a light wetting rain that will mitigate fire danger today for much of the state. Areas to the south including Altus, Lawton and Ardmore will benefit from higher humidity values limiting fine-dead fuel moisture from reaching levels of concern today.

No rain is forecast for the day Thursday; however rain chances build Thursday evening into Friday with good chances of wetting rains across the state. Fire danger is expected to be mitigated through the weekend.

We will issue the next update to the Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report on Monday, November 2, 2015 unless fire weather and/or fire occurrence warrants additional updates.

County Burn Bans: Choctaw and LeFlore Counties have burn bans that remain in place. Information on current county level burn bans can be obtained at:  http://www.forestry.ok.gov/burn-ban-information
