Statewide Discussion:
Fire danger today in Oklahoma will be isolated to the Panhandle counties and into Harper County today where relative humidity values will dip below 30% resulting in dry fine fuels and rains did not materialize over the weekend. High temperatures in this area will register 90°-94° with south winds 10-12mph gusting to near 20 mph.
No significant fire activity is expected elsewhere in Oklahoma today due to elevated fuel moistures resulting from wetting rains that fell over a fair portion of the state on Sunday and relative humidity values in excess of 40% elsewhere.
Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.
Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
