Statewide Discussion:
Fire danger today will be isolated to the Panhandle counties with temperatures around 70° this afternoon and relative humidity 17-26%. Warm, dry conditions will result in fuels receptive to burning this afternoon that pushed by south-southeast winds 10-20 mph with some gusts at higher velocities possible.

Most of Oklahoma received beneficial wetting rains over the course of the last 24 hours as a system progressed across the state. A large section of the state received between 0.5” – 1.0” of precipitation No significant fire control issues are anticipated across most of Oklahoma today.

Rain showers are expected to persist again today negating fire danger potential in large part through the early part of the week.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
