Statewide Discussion:
Despite cold temperatures, gusty north winds and relative humidity values falling into the 30-35% range today will pose some fire danger especially in areas dominated by dormant grass fuels, and where recent precipitation totals were negligible. The greatest area of concern today will lie in the central and western corridors of Oklahoma where winds will be out of the north at 15 mph with frequent sustained gusts at or slightly above 20 mph and relative humidity values will settle at 30% this afternoon.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
