Statewide Discussion:

No fire control issues anticipated today.

Generally dry conditions will return to Oklahoma this week as a weak frontal system pushes out the fog, drizzle and light rain that has hung around for nearly a week. Above normal temperatures, primarily light winds and moderate relative humidity values are forecast to dominate weather across Oklahoma this week limiting fire danger in the state.

We will issue an updated Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report on Monday, December 15, 2014. Updates to this report will be issued should fuel and/or fire weather conditions deviate from the forecast.

Special Note to the Public: The past two weekends have afforded opportunity for many Oklahomans to venture out and harvest Christmas trees. Please be sure to take care of your live tree to provide for a quality Christmas decoration throughout the entire season. Visit Oklahoma Forestry Services webpage for tips on tree care, maintenance and disposal.
