Statewide Discussion:
No fire control issues are anticipated in Oklahoma today.

The storm system that entered Oklahoma yesterday afternoon and continues to move across the state today has provided a statewide wetting rain. Many Mesonet sites are presently reporting 0.4” to 1.0”, and some sites have recorded in excess of 3.0”. The backside of the system continues to work across Oklahoma today with more precipitation on tap

With greatly reduced fire danger expected for the remainder of the week, we will suspend daily issuance of Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report until warranted by fire weather or fire occurrence.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
