Statewide Discussion:
Well above normal temperatures will continue today, however higher relative humidity values, increased sky cover and decent fine fuel moistures should moderate fire danger in large part today for much of Oklahoma.

The highest fire danger will reside in southwest Oklahoma today where above normal temperatures in the 90°’s and winds out of the south at 15 mph gusting to above 20 mph will be present today. There is some potential to support active fire behavior in drought stricken fuels especially if winds and topography align where fuels are homogenous.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
