Statewide Discussion:
Elevated fire danger will be present today along and west of a line from Enid to Clinton also including the Panhandle where above average temperatures at 83°-89°, WSW winds around 10 mph gusting to 15 mph and relative humidity values at 15% in Cimarron County to 23% in Washita County will be present. Drought stricken fuels will react quickly to the dry afternoon conditions resulting in somewhat elevated fire danger in this area. Resistance to suppression efforts will be dependent upon local wind speeds should a fire occur.

Overnight storms occurring in central Oklahoma moving southeast this morning will keep fire danger at bay today in much of the rest of the state.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
