Statewide Discussion:

Relative humidity values will once again remain high today with forecast dewpoints not dipping below the upper 50’s in Oklahoma today resulting in relatively low fire danger statewide and no anticipated fire control issues. Precipitation in Eastern Oklahoma during the evening and overnight hours provided another wetting rain in that area that will limit fire danger into the weekend. The remnants of Odile pushing into southwestern Oklahoma holds promise of wetting rains and potential for heavy rainfall in some areas.

With no fire control issues anticipated now or through the weekend, the Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report will be updated next week following passage of this weekend’s forecast precipitation.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.
Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
