Statewide Discussion:

No fire control issues are anticipated in Oklahoma today. Several factors begin to come together today that will limit fire danger and spread potential as the first of two cold fronts push into Oklahoma from northwest to southeast dropping temperatures into an unseasonably cool range by tomorrow afternoon for all of the state. Scattered rainfall in northeast Oklahoma, elevated relative humidity values and generally light winds following the first frontal passage will keep fire danger in check for most of Oklahoma.

The second cold front will present chances for another wetting rain across the state by Friday with cool temperatures on both Friday and Saturday.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
