Statewide Discussion:
No fire control issues are expected today as fire danger will gradually decrease throughout the day and into the weekend. A cold front will move from north to south shifting winds to the north and ushering in cooler temperatures, increasing potential for rain and light winds. The best chances for rain today and tomorrow extend from the Panhandle through parts of western and much of northern Oklahoma. No fire control problems are anticipated over the weekend or into the beginning of next week. The next situation report will be issued on Monday, September 8, 2014 unless conditions warrant updates.Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
