Moderate fire danger is expected today throughout the state. Temperatures are expected to range from 79 - 82 degrees. Relative humidity will be lower today ranging from 21 to 29 percent. Wind direction will be primarily from the South ranging from 4 - 9 mph.
SPECIAL NOTE TO FIREFIGHTERS: The moisture received last week for the majority of the state was very beneficial, but according to the Keetch-Byram Drought Index (KBDI) we are still considered in drought conditions http://climate.ok.gov/index.php/climate/map/oklahoma_keetch_byram_drought_index/drought_wildfire.
SPECIAL NOTE TO THE PUBLIC: The Governor’s Burn Ban has changed to include only 55 counties in the State of Oklahoma. Tulsa County has passed a Burn Ban Resolution. For information concerning this ban go to the following link: http://www.forestry.ok.gov/burn-ban-information
