Statewide Discussion: No reports of unusual fire activity or requests for State assistance were received yesterday.

The highest fire danger today will be east of a line from Osage County to Bryan County. Winds will be generally from the northwest, sustained at 10-15 mph with gusts from 20-25 mph. Relative humidity is expected to drop into 20% range. Any fire starting in this area in continuous, dry fuels has the potential to burn intensely with moderate to rapid rates of spread.

SPECIAL NOTE TO THE PUBLIC: A Governor’s Burn Ban is still in effect for 28 counties. Several County Commissioner Burn Bans are also still in effect. For current Burn Ban information click on the following link:

Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
