EC Area – 2 fires burned 12 acres (Causes: 2-Incendiary)

SE Area – 1 fire burned 0.2 acres (Cause: Incendiary)

No fires reported yesterday.

Statewide Discussion: No reports of unusual fire activity or requests for State assistance were received during the reporting period. At the time of this report posting, light precipitation is falling in several counties across Oklahoma.

Fire control problems are not expected anywhere in Oklahoma today. A strong cold front is anticipated to cross the state over the next 24 hours. Northerly winds behind the front are forecast to be very strong, gusting to near 40 mph in many locations. Fortunately, much of the are forecast to receive moisture with prior to and after the frontal passage In addition, where moisture is not received, relative humidity readings are expected to remain high enough across the state to preclude problematic fire behavior.
