Statewide Discussion: No requests for State assistance or reports of unusual fire activity were received yesterday.

Fire danger will be moderate to high today and through the weekend in the Oklahoma Panhandle and in far southwestern Oklahoma. In these two areas, very little significant moisture has occurred over the last several months. Wildland fuels remain very dry and responsive to ignition. Fire weather conditions today and over the weekend will be characterized by relative humidity readings in the 10-20% range with north-northwest winds sustained from 15-20 mph with gusts near 30 mph in some areas. Temperatures are forecast to reach into the 60 degree range.
