Statewide Discussion: No unusual fire activity was reported or requests for State assistance were received from outside of the Protection Area during the reporting period.
Beneficial rainfall occurred and continues across the eastern half of Oklahoma. Live fuels in this area continue to green-up which will mitigate fire danger for the short term in most areas. Fire danger today will be low to moderate across western Oklahoma due to moderate relative humidity readings and light and variable winds.
Fire control problems are not anticipated anywhere in Oklahoma today.SPECIAL NOTE TO THE PUBLIC: A Governor’s Burn Ban remains in effect for a large part of Oklahoma. For more Information click on the following link: http://www.forestry.ok.gov/burn-ban-information
Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
