Statewide Discussion:

Rainfall early this morning in western Oklahoma, and presently moving across central Oklahoma, will mitigate fire danger today. Amounts are variable with some areas such as the Panhandle receiving only trace coverage, however higher humidity and lighter winds in the wake of this system will preclude significant wildfire impacts today. Eastern Oklahoma continues to benefit from adequate live fuel moisture which stands to be further bolstered as this system moves into the area today.

There are no fire control issues forecast for today.

Remember… ONLY YOU can prevent wildfires! Enjoy Oklahoma’s wildlands responsibly.
Report any suspicious wildland fire activity on the Arson Tip Line: 1-866-662-7766 (1-866-NO ARSON).
