Statewide Discussion: No reports of unusual fire activity or requests for State assistance were received yesterday.

The highest fire danger for the next three day period will be seen today and tomorrow in response to a cold front that will cross the state. North winds will follow the frontal passage and are forecast to be sustained from 15-20 mph with gusts near and above 30 mph. Relative humidity and fuel moistures are not expected to drop to critical levels. The wind shift behind the front will be the primary concern in regard to fire control. Firefighters should be prepared for a change in direction of fire spread if engaged in fire suppression today and tomorrow if the front passes their location.
