Statewide Discussion: No reports of unusual fire activity or requests for State assistance were received yesterday. Beneficial rainfall occurred overnight in the majority of the state.
The highest fire danger today will be west of a line from Woods County to Ellis County. Little to no moisture was received in the last twenty-four to forty-eight hours in these counties. This afternoon the relative humidity is expected to drop into the 20-25% range with north-northeast winds sustained at 15-20 mph with gusts possible up to 35 mph. Later in the day winds are forecast to diminish and shift to more of a east-northeast direction. Temperatures are expected to range from the mid- to upper 50 degree range.
