4 Fires Burned 248 Acres – Guymon, Willow, Eldorado and Coyle FD’s Reporting

Additional initial attack activity noted through media outlets.

Statewide Discussion:  Fire danger is expected to diminish through the day today as precipitation chances creep into the forecast this evening. Relative humidity values are expected to briefly fall into the 28-35% range in the Panhandle and northwestern counties; however north to northeast winds are forecast to be around 10 mph limiting rates of fire spread should any activity occur today.

Fuels remain dry, and both fires occurring yesterday as well as new fire starts are possible today; however moisture moving into the area will reduce fire danger into the evening. Given the current forecast for a significant winter storm threatening snow, accumulating ice and rain; no significant fire activity is anticipated through the weekend.
