Statewide Discussion:

No significant fire danger anticipated through the week.  Much cooler temperatures, increasing sky cover statewide as well as light snow potential in northwest Oklahoma will result in reduced fire danger today.  North and northeast winds today 8-12 mph with gusts to 18 will deliver limited rates of fire spread.
Forecasted widespread wintry precipitation tomorrow, cold temperatures and the return of precipitation chances later in the week are expected to negate fire danger concerns through the week in most areas.  Current outlooks hold potential for cooler than normal temperatures through the remainder of the month while above normal precipitation chances in the near-term are currently expected to trend toward normal toward the end of the month.
Next issuance of the Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report is planned for Monday, February 25, 2019 unless fire danger and/or fire occurrence merits otherwise.
Burn Ban Status:   No Burn Bans presently in effect.
