The highest fire danger today will be west of a line from Osage County to Jefferson County. Temperatures are forecast to climb into the 50-60 degree range. Relative humidity is expected to range from the mid-teens in Cimarron County to the low 30% range in the eastern most portions of the area described. Winds are forecast to be sustained from 15 to 20 mph with gusts near and above 30 mph. With today’s fire weather conditions, any fire starting today will burn intensely with moderate to rapid rates of spread.
