Statewide Discussion:

Building moisture with rain and storm chances today and into the overnight will negate most, if not all, fire danger concerns today. Rainfall potential in the northwest counties and across northern Oklahoma hold promise of ending the growing separation from wetting rains that have stalled green-up across the area.

We will monitor rainfall amounts in comparison to post-frontal fire danger possibilities if precipitation does transpire in wetting amounts across the area. However: given the vigorous green-up and leaf-out across most of the state and the current forecast guidance, the next update to the Oklahoma Wildfire Situation Report will be issued Monday, April 22, 2019 unless fire danger and/or fire occurrence merits otherwise.

Burn Ban Status: No Burn Bans presently in effect.
