Bartlesville's Civitan Park and Jo Allyn Lowe Park will soon see new foilage, according to City officials.
The Bartlesville Parks and Recreation Department received two state grants totaling $13,000 to be used in planting trees and shrubs in the two parks.
The grants came through the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the Oklahoma Department of Transportation through the Highway Tree Program, a program intended to beautify Oklahoma’s transportation corridors through the use of landscaping.
City officials estimate the installation of the plants to begin in early 2010.
