On Sunday fire danger is forecast to be very high to extreme in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Relative humidity is expected to drop into the 5-10% range with west-southwest winds sustained from 20-30 mph with gusts near 40 mph. High temperatures Sunday are forecast to range from 80-90 degrees. A Red Flag Warning may be issued tomorrow or early Sunday as more data is received concerning Sunday’s actual fire weather conditions. In and near this area, any fire starting in continuous, cured fuels has the potential to burn very intensely with rapid rates of spread.
